Dylan Peterson

That's gotta change eventually, but Alex, the Blues made some announcements earlier today.

They've assigned Kaskimaaki, Maki, Peterson, Stenberg, and Jurczek to Springfield.

The roster decisions are coming sooner rather than later.

Tomorrow we're expecting to see a roster that resembles what they will take into opening night.

I'll let you kinda get the first word on this.

What did you make of the decisions that were made today, and the game last night that played into it?

So if you were listening to the post-game last night, Joey gave you the heads-up that, uh, Dylan Peterson was headed down to the minors, 'cause he came out of the locker room in the middle of our post-game and was kinda shaking hands with people, telling them goodbye.

So you kind of assumed that one was gonna happen.

They've assigned Kaskimaki Mackie.

Peterson, Stenberg, and Juracek to Springfield.

Of course, a great story there as far as a depth player that has really evolved to the game in minor hockey in the American Hockey League.

He went from playing at BU with Macklin Celebrini and being more of a driver and a goal scorer now to evolve in his game to being more of a grinder, which is now he's fought in two-for-two games.

So you can send them down to the American leagues, Or then, of course, worry about other teams picking them up for essentially nothing.

So I think the obvious ones, Kaskamaki, unless he just blows everyone out of the water tonight, I think eventually he's a player that gets sent down.

I think Dylan Peterson has opened up so many eyes, but I think it's just such a log jam.

You know, he's probably going to get sent down.

That's wonderful.

why are you blocking Dylan Peterson from coming up to the NHL? Because that's what the Ross Johnston signing is.

It's blocking Petey, who's, I think, really well-deserving and can do what Ross Johnston does physically, but also score goals and make passes and make plays and kill penalties and play on the power play and all that stuff.

I think he's such a well-rounded player.

They lost that spirit.

They lost that hope of getting to the NHL.

I'm not saying Zach Dean is at that point or Dylan Peterson is at that point.

But it's going to come eventually if you don't give them a shot.
