Haley Taylor SimonHOST
15:48
I can't make an A joke with Broberg.
Haley Taylor SimonHOST
15:52
Brandon Carlo, Cam Fowler, Adam Juracek.
Haley Taylor SimonHOST
15:57
Very happy for Adam Jurczyk.
Haley Taylor SimonHOST
15:58
I even commented and said, let's go, Adam.
LukeHOST
18:00
He was with Kelly Rosen in one of those games for a little bit.
LukeHOST
18:03
seemed very much in tune with him, a guy who's not a Cam Fowler, who's not a Philip Broberg.
LukeHOST
18:10
So the fact that he's able to do that and perform well with a guy who's not a normal NHLer in Rosen, that he's already able to do what he did in those games, to me, is a very encouraging sign because he's not going to be playing with a guy like Rosen on opening night if he does end up playing.
LukeHOST
18:30
So I am so encouraged by that, and I'm loving to see that he's potentially going to be in the lineup on Friday.

NickHOST
24:12
And yeah, Lindstein's not an exception.
LukeHOST
24:15
I think you're a check.
LukeHOST
24:16
If he plays, we'll probably play with Fowler.
LukeHOST
24:19
If I had to, if I had to think because Fowler's on the left and then you're a check on the right.
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:01
They were on the ice, but JR was talking with Jiricek afterwards, and Jiricek kinda told him like, "Yeah, they had me on the board," which they typically write on the whiteboard what the lines are before they go out on the ice.
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:11
Jiricek told JR that, "They had me on the board playing with Cam Fowler." Now, they didn't take those line rushes, and from my understanding, they basically told him like, "Yeah, this thing's kind of...
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:21
It'll change." And Jim Montgomery even said, "There's a chance he plays with Broberg.
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:25
There's a chance he plays with Fowler," like we'll see kind of where this thing gets to once they actually start doing their line rushes.
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:30
But I did find that interesting that that first time on the ice they put Jiricek on the ice with Cam Fowler, and if I remember correctly, he never skated with Cam Fowler in any of the preseason games, nor in any of the practices, 'cause it was always Fowler and Carlo.
Brandon KileyHOST
15:44
Cool, cool, cool.
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:46
What's your problem, man? What, did you want him to skate with that Theo Lindstein again?
Alex FerrarioHOST
16:14
But?
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:02
But J.R. was talking with your check afterwards and your check kind of told them like, yeah, they had me on the board, which they typically write on the whiteboard what the lines are before they go out on the ice.
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:11
Your check told J.R. that they had me on the board playing with Cam Fowler.
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:15
Now they didn't take those line rushes.
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:17
And from my understanding, they basically told him like, yeah, this thing's kind of, it'll change.
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:25
The chance he plays with Fowler.
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:26
Like we'll see kind of where this thing gets to once they actually start doing their line rushes.
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:30
But I did find that interesting that that first time on the ice, they put your a check on the ice with cam Fowler.
Alex FerrarioHOST
15:36
And if I remember correctly, He never skated with Cam Fowler in any of the preseason games nor in any of the practices because it was always Fowler and Carlo.
Alex FerrarioHOST
31:42
They tried Tucker with Falk.
Alex FerrarioHOST
31:43
They tried Tucker with Fowler, and none of them stuck.
Alex FerrarioHOST
31:46
He had a rough year last year.
Alex FerrarioHOST
31:48
And that's why I look at this.
Alex FerrarioHOST
32:00
I just look at it and say, this guy has more offensive upside.
Alex FerrarioHOST
32:03
And for how I know Jim Montgomery likes his defenseman to play, Sure, Tyler Tucker did that a couple of years ago, but how much of that was having a guy that covered for him? It's a fair question.
Alex FerrarioHOST
32:11
Versus if Justin Barron is a guy that naturally is an offensive-minded defenseman, you put him out there in a situation if, let's say, Cam Fowler gets hurt or Pareko gets hurt or if Mayu and Juracek struggles.
Alex FerrarioHOST
32:22
I mean, this is a guy that can play 19 minutes a night versus Tucker.
Jeremy RutherfordGUEST
16:38
And now we'll see where he plays.
Jeremy RutherfordGUEST
16:40
He told me that he was penciled in with Cam Fowler that day.
Jeremy RutherfordGUEST
16:43
But they didn't run the pairs that day.
Jeremy RutherfordGUEST
16:45
Yeah, that makes a lot of sense.
Alex FerrarioHOST
20:52
thought.
Alex FerrarioHOST
20:52
I do think there's a chance that if he looks good and where he fits, and I'd play him with Broberg off the start, I wouldn't break up Fowler and Carlo.
Alex FerrarioHOST
21:01
We saw Fowler struggle last year with a younger player, and I wouldn't put an offensive defenseman with Cam Fowler, who's an offensive defenseman.
Alex FerrarioHOST
21:08
If he hits...
JacobHOST
33:44
Theory one is that he just slides in right with May- or into Mayu's spot and plays on the top line with Broberg.
JacobHOST
33:50
Theory two is that he actually slides in on the third line and gets paired with Cam Fowler, and Brandon Carlo moves up to the top spot with Broberg.
JacobHOST
34:00
Which, uh, which do you think is happens? And then if it happens to be different, which are you in favor of?
Matt WellsGUEST
34:06
Uh, I would think Brandon Carlo would get the top spot since he has more experience.
JacobHOST
34:51
Not 30, but 30-something.
DakotaHOST
34:54
30.
DakotaHOST
34:54
Cam Fowler? I don't know.
JacobHOST
34:55
Yeah.
Darius DominguesHOST
7:47
And I think where it gets interesting is, do you want to? And could you give up a guy like Bucinavich, right? Like there's interesting...
Darius DominguesHOST
7:54
caveats there you know when you look at his contract could that even work do you give up that player right like you got to give up money here uh to free up cap space not like a significant amount you're not right right up against it like most other teams where they're in tough and they have a bunch of players with no movement clauses but that being said you're gonna have to make some big moves here in order to make this work but i i think it's something they they're definitely still taking a look at i mean they have to this is a player that i think would make them better that left side better and maybe they're looking at moving somebody out but if you have you know who do we have on that left side right you're thinking of Theo Lindstein moving into the future right you have Cam Fowler right now and you have Broberg right but if you were to remove one of those guys and hopefully it's not Theo Lindstein and hopefully it's not Philip Broberg so do the math if you remove one of those guys and bring in Nikitian I think that does make you a better team and I think Nikitian can play the right as well but Mark I don't know if you have any other thoughts on that i don't necessarily love that when lefties play on the right and vice versa and right he's on the left but uh especially on defense but um no i think this is going to continue to heat up here because a decision is going to have to be made sooner rather than later the season's about to start
Mark PyeHOST
9:00
because that's the big thing conor hellebuck's kind of feeling like the stalemate on this because of course buffalo wants to acquire him there's other teams that are in on color conor hellebuck including carolina so the three-team trade need to get done as there's two players not playing for the teams the st louis blues have that opportunity Of course, looking at the cost, if you're moving out a first round pick or the equivalent, people are starting to bring up, especially from the Winnipeg sides, guys like Justin Carbineau, other young guys like Adam Jurczyk.
Mark PyeHOST
9:27
So it's going to be interesting what they're willing to give up if they truly want Nikitian within this organization.
Alex FerrarioHOST
17:37
Like they love Theo Lindstein.
Alex FerrarioHOST
17:39
Cam Fowler's got two more years.
Alex FerrarioHOST
17:41
Phillip Broberg's their number one.
Alex FerrarioHOST
17:43
And the right side now is Juracek, Carlo, and Pareko.

1 HR 19 MINS LATER

Jeremy RutherfordGUEST
96:51
He told me that he was in Springfield.
Jeremy RutherfordGUEST
96:53
He was with his teammate, the Karczyk, and they were actually at the storage facility and they were taking the U-Haul and moving some furniture back into their apartment.
Jeremy RutherfordGUEST
97:04
And instead, they took the U-Haul and put Juracek's equipment bag in there and went to the airport and so he's coming back to st louis so i think he's going to be in the lineup uh he said that he was penciled into that third pair with cam fowler i think there's a chance you see him with broberg either friday or at some point and he's going to be running one of the power play units so a lot of intrigue around your check
Alex FerrarioHOST
97:28
jay would you say there's a chance we see your check and lindstein as a pair at some point stop
Jeremy RutherfordGUEST
1:46
He was with his teammate, the Karczyk, and they were actually at the storage facility and they were taking the U-Haul and moving some furniture back into their apartment.

Alex FerrarioHOST
2:20
jay would you say there's a chance we see your check and lindstein as a pair at some point stop
Jeremy RutherfordGUEST
2:24
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jeremy RutherfordGUEST
3:09
I think he can play with Philip Broberg.
Jeremy RutherfordGUEST
3:10
And what that does, the biggest thing, is it allows you to keep these second two pairs together, Theo Lindstein, Colton Preko, who had a lot of chemistry last year.
Jeremy RutherfordGUEST
3:19
And what's been the main topic in training camp, every time you talk to Jim Montgomery about the defensive pairs, he talks about Brandon Carlo and Cam Fowler and how they're really playing well together.
Jeremy RutherfordGUEST
3:29
So it would allow you to keep those guys together.
