Philip Broberg

And I do want to return to John's original question of the day from earlier in the show.

Neighbors there, Dvorsky's in front, Broberg got a lot of space, he'll wait, load up, Fowler had it, stopped it, rebound, loose, still

a middle, Broberg again, Fowler again, another stop! It's enough that he's so technically sound in the crease, but watch him battle here, he's trying to locate this puck, quick reflexes as this develops in front of him, and then backsliding across to make the save on Philip Broberg.

Our man Frankie Corrado with Brian Mudrick, of course, on TSN in St. Louis last night.

Question of the day was? Describe what

Sabres there.

Dvorsky's in front.

Broberg got a lot of space, he'll wait, blow it up, Fowler had it, stopped it, rebound, loose,

the forecheck, back in front, another shot, another stop from Fowler, and he covers this one up with a big pile up at the side of the net.

Neighbors there, Daborski's in front, Broberg got a lot of space, he'll wait, blow it up, Fowler had it, stopped it, rebound, loose, still a middle, Broberg again, Fowler again, another stop! I cannot believe

it! It's enough that he's so technically sound in the crease, but watch him battle here.

He's trying to locate this puck, quick reflexes as this develops in front of him, and then backsliding across to make the save on Philip Broberg.

46 saves for Jacob Fowler last night, third most in a shutout in the history of the Montreal Canadiens.

Jacques Plante made 52 saves in the mid-50s.

Quick reflexes as this develops in front of him.

And then backsliding across to make the save on Philip Broberg.

Yeah, exactly.

I just got to mention, what about that Philip Broberg from St. Louis? How good is he? I mean, the skating?

I couldn't believe it.

I can't believe they didn't match the offer sheet in Edmonton.

check

Philip Broberg two plus shots on goal check And then the over on the Rays' team total of three and a half runs.

And what do we have as we head into extra innings? What was the score? As we head into extra innings, it was 2-2.

So I'm sitting there going, I'm jolly well left.

He is a power play arsenal, which is very useful, but there's not much five-on-five play there.

But that's the part that is beyond frustrating for me, and I looked like an idiot after that game where Broberg scored on

a

one-timer.

I don't know that they know what they have in Barron right now.

I think when you

get Mayhew back, Mayhew's going to play with Broberg and Barron's going to play with Carlo.

And then you can settle that.

I think Barron's a really good third-pair defenseman.

You don't have that talent.

Those talents don't.

They either get real lucky with the offer sheets like a Philip Broberg, or you're going to have to trade for them and give up a lot to get them.

And that's where I just don't know where the Blues are at in their timeline.
