E160: Which Blues are we buying and selling on for 2026-27?

Let's go sort of instead of alphabetically just down the list of players, let's move through the sort of the depth chart or kind of the line combinations themselves.

let's kind of shuffle through forward defense, then goalie moving from the top of the lineup to the bottom.

I think there's interesting conversations throughout.

So, um, starting with the top line of the forward group, I think if it were possible, like I would just say I'm, I'm buying on all these guys, but we have talked a lot about the top line lately.

And I don't know that I have much more to add.

Alec, do you, do you have any, anything you want to add on the top line, uh, for this conversation?

Yeah, not really.

I mean, I think for both of us and really all Blues fans, you probably should be buying in on what was the best top line in the NHL last year.

So there is no doubt in my mind that these players are really, really talented and that they can absolutely do it again.

And it's what I'm expecting.

You know, Thomas, we were waiting for that 100-point season.

Holloway, I think, is capable of a similar kind of season this year or in any given year, I should say.

And Snuggerud, who knows? You know, the sky's only the limit for him.

So, yeah, I mean, they're really good and I'm really excited to watch them play hockey.

that's that's about how I feel about the top line.

Yeah, they played together for the first time this preseason in last night's game, game two against Dallas.

Didn't register a goal, but...

So I'm out of market, so I didn't get to watch the preseason game, but I've read some takeaways and reports from the game.

It sounds like they were active and were, you know, despite being held scoreless, were accounting for a lot of the Blues' offensive looks.

One report I'm seeing says 11 of the 31 shots on goal for the team.

So, like...

They seem to have preserved some of their chemistry.

Hopefully that'll only get better.

So, yeah, I mean, in short, it should be obvious to anyone that's watched or listened to the past few episodes that we're buying stock on these guys.
