Nathan Walker

You know, you had a mixed bag last year for a while of fourth liners.

You know, you had Walker in there.

You always had torps there.

Uh, and you, you, and, um, we had, who was the guy, Nick, that we traded to the, to the devils mid season in like November, December, uh, Nick, um, Bukestad, Bukestad, Bukestad was there for a while last year too.

But we know that Ross Johnson and Alexey Torbchenko belong on that fourth line for sure.

It's just a matter of who's that center.

I think you have the opportunity with Nathan Walker.

Yeah.

Now, let me just ask this question of that grouping in particular.

It seems as though that we are going to be able to play a little bit heavier this year than maybe we have been in years past, which is fantastic because one of the things that I've been complaining about, or until he got traded to the Islanders, was it seemed like outside of maybe Nathan Walker, Braden Shin was the only guy that... was given the response if a response was needed.

And I hated that it had to be one of our skill guys like that.

Well, it seems as though in that maybe bottom six, we're going to have a little bit more thunder.

There's two more spots because typically the Blues will carry 14 forwards and seven defensemen.

If you want that last spot, Jack Finley, Oscar Sundquist, Nathan Walker, Dylan Dubé, Justin Carbineau, then you better go out there and prove it because you're in group B with a lot of the guys that are headed back to juniors and the American Hockey League.

And that's a pretty... overwhelming statement from years past to where typically it's you see them all grouped together and you got Dubé skating with Thomas and Holloway and you've got Carbono skating with McTavish and McMichael that's not today that's basically telling these guys you've got a couple of days to try and audition to make this roster so that this is probably the most intense internal competition that they've had to make the team in a pretty decent amount of time in my recollection

I was surprised by some of what they put together today.

And it goes back to what you said with them sending out these lists last night.

I thought for sure that Walker, Sonny, Stenberg, Carbonell, definitely Finley.

Like some of these guys, one or two of them would be over with the NHL roster.

I thought like they would construct a fifth line to be with that group.

That's probably going to find some games in there.

And you have Nathan Walker.

That's probably going to find some games in there.

You're

You know, it's interesting, you know, given this, because I think, obviously, Ross Johnson, what I think is going to happen is the three players that you listed, I think, are going to end up being your line there.

And I think the extra is probably going to be Jonathan Berrigan.

So for all the people that love Nathan Walker, man, I think his days are pretty numbered.

I think he's going to have to be waived and he's going to have to go down to Springfield or he's going to get claimed.
