This Is NOT What We Expected... | Daily San Francisco 49ers News & Rumors

The Niners, of course, are four and O undefeated through the first quarter of the season.

They are playing spectacular football.

But where's the rest of the season gonna go? That's the question.

And unfortunately, we're doing this segment before week five.

I think once week five's game is finished, we are gonna have a lot more answers to that very question.

I think that this game this weekend is going to be a huge tell and really give us plenty of information on who this 49ers team is and what is to come for the rest of the season.

Why? Well, because it has a ton, a ton of significance.

This is as close to a must-win game as you can get in week five.

If the Niners win on Sunday, they'll be five and O.

They will be three and O against NFC teams.

They will be three and O against the NFC West, with wins against every other team in the division.

That is huge because that would put them at least two and a half games up on both the Rams and the Seattle Seahawks, who of course, are their two biggest competitors for the division title at this point.

So through five weeks, you'd be two and a half games up on arguably the other two of the three best teams in the NFC.

That is massive, massive, massive, massive for the 49ers.

However, if you lose, you drop to four and one, right? And that's still a great record.

But if you drop to four and one, then all of a sudden you're second place in the NFC West, and you're playing catch up against Seattle all season long.

This is a huge game.

You absolutely have to win this one.

Pull everything you can out of the bag, all sorts of pressure looks and trick plays, and whatever you feel like you have to do to win this game, you do it now.

This game is in Seattle.

It's going to be tough.

Seahawks are sort of reeling a bit, and we'll talk about that on the, uh, the, the game preview in Friday's video.

So be sure to stick around and subscribe, uh, if you want to see that video.

Uh, but it is, it is truly hard to overstate how important this game really is for the 49ers.
