But you look at their plan overall with the Cardinals, and I think they...

they it kind of felt like they knew exactly where the the voids of the Chargers pressure plans was going to be and it felt like they had an instant outlet like every single time so they they went into this with the plan of like we're gonna get the ball out quickly and we're gonna use Trey McBride and Kendrick Bourne in the middle of the field Marvin Harrison Michael Wilson on the outside like kind of barely got targeted it was really just everything was towards the middle of the field so It feels like they had a very specific plan, a very quick passing game plan, and they relied on their best player, Trey McBride, to execute against Derwin James and the linebackers, and he absolutely did that.

So I think you look at the overall numbers for these guys, and they didn't have a lot of sacks, but they each kind of had... positive numbers in their own right to the three pressures and three hits like three quarterback hits in a game is that's really really good like that's a very solid number you mentioned Mesador's true pass rush winner I thought his film was really good Mac on ESPN and on the film I think shows up better than PFF has and I think PFF PFF had him as like a 3% win rate which like yeah that doesn't track at all And I think all three of those guys had positive rushes, you know, overall, I thought all three played the run.

Well, Tuli ended up in the number one on ESPN's run stop win rate this week.

I thought he was really a step or two slow and looked confused on multiple occasions.

Trey McGrath's a very good player, so I don't necessarily hold it against him for, losing in coverage against Trey McBride.

I mean, Derwin James is a much better coverage player than Dan Henley is, and he lost a couple times against Trey McBride.

But when you're running these kind of simulated pressures and when you're running this kind of match zone defense, your linebackers really have to control the middle of the field and be able to carry over routes and be able to transfer and pass off routes at a really high level and communicate and be able to make plays and essentially deter the quarterback from making those throws.

He picked the absolute donkey ass out of it.

And the one thing that we did say on our preview show is to stop Trey McBride, right? But the guy has nine catches for a hundred yards and one touchdown and And arguably, Derwin James throughout the game, yes, the yards don't look a lot.

I think it was five catches, 27 yards for one touchdown.

But he was there all day, Trey McBride, and he was getting open and open.

Genesis Smith looked really good too, deep.

And Elijah Molden played quite well too.

But Cam Hart, Derwin James, Henley, Dante Jackson, they're sort of hovering around 60 PFF grade and below and their coverage grades aren't much better either.

Derwin James played 100% of the snaps, led the team with 10 total tackles.

But look, Trey McBride absolutely toasted him on several coverage things.

But it was nice that Derwin James got the tackles on those, which was pretty good.

Elijah Molden, speaking of people that always get hurt, he got hurt again here in week one, only played 71% of the snaps.

I know for people that follow Elijah Molden, that is shocking that he got hurt.

Either way, you kind of want to get that fine-tuned so that those plays don't happen again.

Because they still got some dudes on that defense, starting with safety Derwin James, who was one of the best at his positions for the past two years.

Throughout his NFL career.

So I think that's the one thing that I look out for is like, Kirk Cousins had a good game, three touchdowns, two picks, but you don't want to see those type of turnovers linger on moving forward.
