So they signed veteran Chris Moore to the active roster and they didn't really make another move.

They signed a, you know, undrafted rookie from last year who played for Cleveland to their practice squad, but not, not a Tyreek Hill, Darius Slayton, bring him back.

There was none of that Baltimore doubled down on their young group of receivers that obviously includes Zay and Jacoby, but also Rashad Bateman, uh, Tez Walker, Elijah Surratt, and LeJounte Wester.

So going up against that Saints defense, if Zay does not play in this game, which at the time we're recording this, you and I don't know that right now.

And what that means, it's essentially all types of moving landmarks in the blocking game.

We talked about this in the film the last few years, how tough it was for newer players to adjust the stuff and pick it up, right? Whether it was Julian Hill his first couple of years trying to wrap the edge and get those blocks off the corner or whether it was anybody else quite frankly they brought in a receiver a tight end or an insert block like we talked about nick westbrook akini on the show yesterday the insert block where you motion inside and take into the b gap and go take a linebacker on or the exit motion getting out wide to potentially give the quarterback indicators or the wind back that plays off your counter game so well it all keys through kyle use check they are going to use him in so many new ways They had that new fullback motion concept where it was the Tyreek Hill dash motion out wide for us in 2023.

They're doing that same stuff where he's kind of angling right back to the line of scrimmage at the snap just within the confines of the rules to then get downhill and get a running start on his blocks.

It was critical in a 174-yard effort against the Rams.

You bring in Mike McDaniel, you thought this guy was a quarterback guru and one of those guys that could just revamp an offense off rip.

And people forget he had Tyreek Hill, Jalen Waddell, and Devon Aitken, not to mention many other more pro bowlers on that roster who were 4-1, 4-2 speed guys, where essentially you could drop anything and make it work, right? You just needed somebody to deliver them the ball.

And just defensively, I just saw a team that didn't have an identity.

Of course, you lost Jesse Minter, and I thought Jesse Minter covered up a lot of flaws from that Chargers team in the last few years.

So kind of disappointing that the Chargers looked like that against a bad team because they have tough teams coming up.

Yeah, and I mean, a lot of, if the Chargers don't pull out of this bunk, which they could, the scrutiny on all parties involved in the Miami success story outside of Tyreek Hill at full strength is going to be scrutinized.

It turns out that they, wait, every, wait, what if it was all, all just peak Tyreek Hill raising the bar of everyone? We'll have to ask those questions.

And Tua, they actually had a freaking run game.

What did Devon Achain do with no pass attack? The one thing the Dolphins had is Tyreek Hill and Jalen Waddle.

Brees has never had an offense that can actually pose a threat.

Defenses would load up the box on him.

Going over to the aforementioned Denver Broncos, when you're in a scenario where you're down, when you're having some problems, this is why you bring in a guy like Jalen Waddell, right? I mean, he is a game-breaking talent.

He's been in the shadows of Tyreek Hill for many years.

This is his opportunity to break out, and what does he get? One catch for two yards! And, of course, he had a really unfortunate third down drop early in the second half, which really kind of spiraled that entire offense.

Listen, I don't blame only Waddle here, but when you come in with that much, you know, with those expectations, with what they expect you to do on that team, with a team that was already firing in all cylinders last year without you, and to come down this way, that is a huge, huge letdown for a huge offseason acquisition like Jalen Waddle.

I like him.

He's the poor man's Tyreek Hill.

Like every play, every time I see him do a highlight play, it's him on the defense playing zone.

He's running.
