And it's so funny because you should know if you, as an athlete, when you go to Australia, you really need, you really need nine to 10 days.

So at some point, if, uh, they can't come to an agreement, and NFL insiders say they are very far apart, could Joey Porter Jr. go on the trade block, and should the 49ers, uh, be part of the trade discussions? You know this.

John Lynch and company are always aggressive when it comes to that.

I understand that the 49ers secondary played very, very well.

Just something to, to think about because the Niners have the cap space.

I personally would not give up a first-round pick if I was John Lynch 'cause you gotta pay him a ton of money.

And one of the reasons is, and every good team does this in the NFL, they keep a little extra money available to think, "Okay, we're gonna need something at some point," because injuries are not an if, it's a when.

It's not a Brock Purdy thing.

It's not a John Lynch thing.

It's It's a Dustin Perry thing and a Timothy McAdams thing.

It's a training staff and a physician thing, which I hesitate to talk about because it's really not my expertise.

But that was probably the best thing the 49ers could have done.

I'm usually not with them giving an extension early, but I will say this.

Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch really built cachet for this organization.

Nobody wanted to be here after the bunk head coaches that they had hired after Harbaugh.

And we're seeing some of that success pay off already.

Now, there's always questions about Mustafa and Jair Brown and Siegel and the safety position and John Lynch being a future, or should I say, being an NFL Hall of Famer, who of course played safety in the league, drafting the same like prototype of safety not really looking for the ball hawk but i know we're talking about joey porter jr on the outside and i would say i'd have him ranked even a little bit higher than pro football focus i think he's borderline a top 10 corner in the nfl he's in his prime he's 26 years old but i don't know if corner is the biggest necessity for this 49ers team And I also don't know what the hell their plan really is with the cap space.

They have more of it than anybody else in the NFL, $45 million.

But we hear so often about how the team wants to roll over some of that money to next season and kind of save some of that cap space.

I think that's going to be a position that I would look at closer to the trade deadline.

And if they need to make a move to be able to bolster that position, I would not be surprised if Shanahan and John Lynch go that direction.

They've always been aggressive at the trade deadline, but they're going to start right now internally and see how it all comes together.

And that's where I would kind of look at right now as the one, I wouldn't say like struggle of the team.
