Optimal Obedience

So I'm starting with a question today.

Do you think that this stone was the stone that David slung from his sling and hit Goliath in the forehead and took him down.

Okay, well, let me give you something else before you answer because I didn't say answer yet.

This stone is from the Valley of Elah where Goliath was struck down by the shepherd's stone.

David, come here, please.

I want you to look at this and investigate it and tell me if you think this was David's stone.

It says that there were five stones.

So I'm only asking you to say if it was one of the five.

It was a smooth stone and it hit him right here and took him down.

So what do you think?

I would say no.

You'd say no.

Okay.

All right.

Well, you're wrong.

So a friend of mine who was a missionary, you can get me later.

A friend of mine who was a missionary, his son, who was about this high when I worked in that particular church, grew up, Brian.

He moved to Israel and took the name Baruch.

Baruch.

And he started a Christian seminary, speaking English, which is unusual, but also teaching Hebrew as well, and doing it in the geography of the biblical stories, where they take people out to the Valley of Elah and go through that passage in English and Hebrew in teaching.

And that's what he does.

And so that's where that stone came from.

So David...

It could be, it could be.

So have faith, brother.
