This is the most dangerous time, and so we need as many proposals as possible, but at the same time we need to balance that against too much fear.

Because as you said, you could cure longevity, you could cure cancer, you could do all of this.

Fear is the mind killer.

Fear is the worst place-

Because they might-

Anger flares.

Fear tightens its grip.

We start fighting ghosts, imagining every worst-case scenario, replaying past mistakes, grasping at explanations.

But the Stoic approach begins with one question.

You stop arguing over trivial things.

You stop holding grudges that only poison your remaining days.

Fear of death often comes from two sources, the unknown and the unfulfilled.

The unknown can be softened by accepting that it's beyond your control.

Father, replace every fearful thought with the truth of your word.

For your word promises in Isaiah 41 and 10, Fear not, for I am with you.

Be not dismayed, for I am your God.

I will strengthen you.

You may have the storms and be tossed about, but you will come to land, be assured of that.

The old story tells us of Caesar in the storm, when he said to the trembling captain, Fear not, you carry Caesar and all his fortunes.

Now Christ is in the same boat with all his people.

If one of his members can perish, he must perish too.

And when the servant of the man of God was risen early and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots, And his servants said unto him, Alas, my master, how shall we do? Plain English, we're in a mess.

What are we going to do? And he answered, Fear not, for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.

And Elisha prayed and said, Lord, I pray thee, open his eyes that he may see.

And the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, not his physical eyes, but his spiritual eyes, and he saw.

And his point about it is, is that fear is literally the controlling factor in almost everything that we do, and it's fear of outcomes, fear of being found out, fear of, uh, you know, uh, it's always our decision.

Many of our decisions, and particularly the ones of, that of I know in my life, I'll speak for myself, the ones that I regret are the ones that I made out of fear.

Fear of not having enough, fear of being left out, fear of not making it, fear of being found out, fear of, um, uh, uh, you know, fear of, um, uh...

You know, just keep going down the list-

... go back to the ideas of, of love and hate.

Yeah.

Fear kinda lags on hate, right?

You don't have to be afraid of any of this shit.

Fear is literally fake.

Literally, it's fake.

We all fear it.

I always feel like when you say fearless, that means, because it's not like fearless, L-I-S-S, it's fearless, right? So instead of fearing less, I'd like to fear not.

How do you like that? Now, I want you to take that on for your own life.

Fear not.

He is the only way to freedom.

Fear not, not fearless.

People say like, oh, you're a fearless person.

No, I'm a fear not person because I will fear less if you tell me I'm fearless.

Oh my God, I can't even, it just, I can't even believe the belief systems out there.
