Our double feature this week, our first movie was Kind Hearts and Coronets from 1946, starring Dennis Price, Alec Guinness, and Valerie Hobson, a distant poor relative of the Duc d'Escoigne, plot to inherit the title by murdering the eight other heirs who stand ahead of him in the line of succession.
A regular guy from America becomes King of England after a royal wipeout puts him next in line.
I picked King Ralph because it was a movie that my brothers and I could agree on when we were young.
There were a whole bunch of movies that we would watch over and over and over again.
Before Dad took over the basement, we had the basement.
It's generally how it goes.
The kids have the basement until they're old enough to go off to their bedrooms, and then the parents get the basement back.
Yeah, and eventually his office was down there and then eventually the movie started taking over the basement and then there's a new basement.
But we used to have a little corner and we'd have a TV and we'd disappear into the basement and our parents were like, thank you, goodbye.
And we would debate what we would watch.
And there were only so many movies we would really all agree on.
The Three
Ninjas.

He loves it.
