Double feature

We'll do those two next week.

We'll do, uh, it's our, uh, almost December double feature cram jam to play catch up for those three weeks we missed in, um, June, July, I guess.

So yeah, there you go.

And, uh, What we got now? Got some voice messages.

Yeah.

Minus monster zero and Clayface.

I mean, that would be a pretty good double feature.

So I don't know when they're hitting VOD.

On Bat and Spider episode 323, 3, 2, 3.

This Halloween for the show, we picked a double, double, double feature of the Rocky Horror Picture Show and shock.

Shock treatment.

Shock treatment.

He's a hoot.

Yeah.

I did watch a new movie though this week before we get into our double feature, Dale.

Not spooky.

Today, we are going back to our roots.

We are going back to the days of when we did the double feature.

That's right.

We are doing the double feature Hooked on Movies podcast.

We are looking at the 1962 movie Carnival of Souls.

and the one that set the trend for all horror movies, Night of the Living Dead from 1968.

double.

Let's Make It a Double is the part of the show where we pick a movie to pair up with this one to make the perfect double feature.

This is always my favorite one of the series, Brad, because we can go off the rails if we want to.

There's nothing to actually pair this movie with anymore.

yes and it's so much harder on this side i'm like i have so much more respect for the people on the other side i'm like it's way easier for me to ask the question they're like this is crazy

right so now that you're um doing this double feature Fridays, what's been the most exciting part about it and being on the other side?

Well, it's so cool for one because, you know, I'm at Entertainment Tonight.

I've been here about seven months.

And then to pair it with all the movie lovers and of course, everything that Pluto has to offer, it was just a perfect pairing.

So we were able to, you know, use ET's background and have all these cool moments and pair it with what we're doing.

So Double Feature Fridays, we essentially every single Friday pair a blockbuster hit you know and love with an indie gem we know you're going to love.

And so you have your movie night just carved out for you.

And welcome to week four of our Rewind month.

And this week we are tackling a very elite double feature, I will say, as we are getting into two Slumber Party Massacre films.

We're going to be going over the original and the most recent take on the franchise, which was released in 2021.

Our initial discussion was episode 10.

So I had fun the first time, but I had a lot more fun this time, especially watching them back to back.

Oh, yeah.

Truly such a good double feature, these two movies together.

They really do go hand in hand.

p.m. kind of movie.

um but it's great and yeah like you mentioned eric it'll tie into some of the stuff we're talking about today yeah today's episode we're going to review four new release films um so it'll be kind of a jam-packed episode um because we've seen a lot over the last little while we can talk about what else we've been watching and things like that but um Eric and I and Andrew, you did half of this, but you sort of did the double feature, just split up over two nights.

We did a Clayfighter double feature.

So we saw Clayface and Street Fighter

in

I

think takes material that could have been really hackney or, or just like eye rolling and makes it feel like, real you know like there's like sense like it's the right actor for the right role and he brings something he brings more gravitas to it than i think maybe someone else would have i agree

All right, let's get into the big double feature, the main event of the episode.

Um, but, uh, yeah, so basically, uh, the movie we're going to do Halloween five, which moved too much to move the chagrin.

Um, and, uh, if we, if we might do a second movie, which would be clown house, if we, if we do a double feature, but, um, it worst case scenario, just us three hanging out, watching the movies together.

Yeah.

um but yeah uh something that i've always i used to do this before on facebook actually um which was pretty fun um but yeah the watch party thing is pretty cool because it's like you get to watch it together and just like poke fun at the movie or you know talk about stuff you like or don't like or whatever i'm gonna

well there's how many seasons now probably like 2012 something

like that yeah that's crazy

that show has been going on forever and i hear like it's you know some of them are really good 13 seasons holy shit yeah that's crazy dude the first one was in 2011 damn bro So you got Murder House, Asylum, Coven, Freak Show, Hotel, Roanoke, Cult, Apocalypse, 1984, Double Feature, New York City, Delicate, and 13 for the 13th season.

Damn.

I could see her in a flowing gown and still scaring little kids.

Well, now we get to our double feature, and this could be any movie you think is a good fit with Lady in White.

It could be another...

Well, in this case, there's so many things that could be that could go on.

It could be a detective mystery.

All of these were in this movie.

So you can pretty much double feature this with any genre.

And you've got something covered because, like I said, this movie all over the place.
