Day 4 - Let Go and Let God: Hashem Has Unlimited Resources [Introduction 4]

What if you knew that Hashem could provide for your every need, regardless of your circumstances, financial resources, or the obstacles standing in your way? In this inspiring fourth episode of the Shaar Habitachon Podcast, Rabbi Aryeh Wolbe continues exploring Rabbeinu Bachya Ibn Pakuda's timeless teachings in Chovos HaLevavos, examining why a person with genuine Bitachon is better off than even an alchemist capable of turning ordinary metals into gold. While the alchemist depends on tools, materials, and dangerous labor to produce wealth, someone who relies on Hashem draws security from the limitless resources of the Creator. Through the beautiful story of a widow and her children who unknowingly received help from their own "Elijah the Prophet," we discover that Hashem's miracles often arrive through ordinary people who become extraordinary messengers of His kindness. Drawing from the miraculous manna in the wilderness, Eliyahu HaNavi's sustenance during famine, the endless flour and oil of a poor widow, and the remarkable generosity of Reb Shayele of Kerestir, Rabbi Wolbe demonstrates that Hashem never runs out of ways to provide for His children. He also shares unforgettable personal experiences, including driving to teach Torah with an apparently empty gas tank, and the inspiring stories of his beloved rabbis who lived with complete confidence in Divine Providence. Whether supporting a family of thirteen children, dedicating one's life to Torah study, or simply trusting that tomorrow's needs will be met, the lesson remains the same: Hashem's goodness is infinite, and His ability to provide is never limited by our understanding of what seems possible. The episode explores the first three of ten extraordinary advantages that Bitachon offers over the alchemist's supposed financial security. A person who trusts in Hashem does not depend on physical tools, can enjoy genuine tranquility without the dangers and exhausting toil of the alchemist, and need not fear sharing the secret of his success with others. Through stories of business competition, charitable giving, and everyday challenges, Rabbi Wolbe reminds us that our job is not to control every outcome but to recognize the loving Hand guiding our lives. When we stop trying to force Hashem's hand and learn to rely on His providence, we discover a freedom from fear, anxiety, and unnecessary stress that no amount of money could ever purchase. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\__ This Podcast Series is Generously Underwritten by **The Butler Family** Recorded at TORCH Centre in the Levin Family Studios (B) to a live audience on May 4, 2026, in Houston, Texas.
