Preseason AP Poll Thoughts, Coaching Changes, Exhibition Games + NBA Talk | Mostly Hoops 10.26.2026

And also, so why don't we start with we'll start with the AP poll.

That's what Cody put on here first.

But also, Titus.

overall state of the program of mostly hoops, especially this helps our boy beers too, because I know he's an NBA head.

We're going to talk a little more NBA.

I

have.

So we're going to try to do this.

First of all, we're going to go once a week.

We're going to go on Monday mornings for the foreseeable future.

Certainly until January, we might try to, it's somewhere in December.

I might want to flip the switch and go to a week, but yeah, I want to talk more NBA, and the reason I want to talk more NBA is because I'm as excited for the NBA this season as I've been in well over a decade probably.

And I can't really put my finger on why I think it's parody.

I think it might be not only parody in terms of the teams that might win the title.

I think there's parody in terms of who you think the MVP is.

Who should the MVP should have been? Uh, every time I say MVP, I just think of Dukes.

Um, I think there's like, there are arguments to be had about that.

I think, I just think like across the league, it's like absolutely fascinating.

Um, so I'm going to, I want to do my best to celebrate the entire sport of basketball.

And I am, uh, just as excited for the NBA season, which has been great so far as I am for college this year.

But, uh, Yeah, so we're going to try to do that, but also I understand we're constrained by the time situation, which I don't want to make that a thing again.

But I imagine that's going to happen again.

People are going to be like, why are you guys only doing one? It's because there are just factors at play.

My favorite part

of this show last year was how it evolved from early on, like the week before basketball.
