This is a team that is the most Mick Cronin-esque.

You've got the hype train that is John Rothstein.

I'm sitting here thinking this is going to be an underrated good team.

Can they win a national championship? Maybe I'll smack myself on the face and say, let's take a step back from the last two emphatic bold predictions the last two years where I thought this team would go deep second or third weekend.

Most of the time I've got an idea, but now in this era of player change, of player transfers, coaches changes, I'm like, okay, uh, we can guess as to the usual suspects like you just listed, but there's no certainty.

No, there's a lot of projection going on, and it, it, it's why I, I kinda smile at, uh, my friend John Rothstein, is puts up his top 25 pretty much, or every day on Twitter.

And so because it's there every single day, it's like, it becomes almost biblical, right? I mean, it's like, it's like burned onto your screen.

If you add Honor Huff to the lineup that, you know, John Rothstein keeps moving us up in his top 45.

I think we're around 30 now.

Honor Huff would probably bump us up into the top 20.

And based on what I saw tonight, which admittedly is one small snapshot, but based on what I saw tonight, which makes me feel even more confident than I already was and what I thought about him and his potential anyway, as I mentioned, I've said it several times this offseason.

Uh, even retweeted John Rothstein this morning when John Rothstein mentioned that his spies in East Lansing had told him that Jesse McCullough could be a breakout candidate this year.
