“She has built an amazing system and an amazing flywheel.” What separates a performance creative director worth hiring from one who just manages a content calendar? Connor MacDonald (CMO, Ridge)…
The way that we think about our, our, our offers on more of a macro perspective is we really protect, obviously, Black Friday as our, like, best deals of the year.
But with our consideration period and how much we, we spend on demand gen, we'd like to roll out one more offer outside of Black Friday and holiday that's, like, not, not as good, but it's at least, like, competitive with those offers.
Last year, because we did the Super Bowl ad, we decided to do that with, uh, what we branded our Big Game Sale, which was our February offer.
This year, we did not do a Super Bowl ad, and we felt like the best time to do that would be, like, right smack dab halfway through the year.
So that's kinda what we're doing for Prime Time Sale this year is, again, they're not our Black Friday deals, but they are our, I would say, our most competitive offers we ran all year.
You know, I think just talking to some insider, getting some insider info at, at Amazon, and actually the category as a whole was trending down yesterday, at least our, like, kitchen and, and h-home goods category.
And we, we did not-- We, I think we were up a little bit yesterday, so we, I think we outpaced the category as a whole.
But yeah, it's just interesting that that home goods and kitchen as a whole, um, actually decreased year over year on, on the first day last year.
