Milwaukee Brewers and Tampa Bay Rays gear up for a World Series showdown defined by electric speed, airtight defense, and top-tier pitching. Can Junior Caminero’s bat speed and Jacob Misiorowski’s…
Doing well, getting ready for some nerves, some anxiety, hopefully some excitement as well mixed in for the World Series of two.
I don't know if we'll call them small market, but lower revenue teams facing off in the fall classic.
For all I know, they're swimming in a breaking bad pile of money right now.
The point is, as I said in the first segment, one of the reasons why I think this is one of the most intriguing – World Series matchups we've seen beyond just the storyline and they've never won and I mentioned that.
These are two teams that rely on solid pitching, on good defense, and laying down bunts and playing to their strengths.
They don't have guys who have lots of hard contact, but they have guys who can...
They know that nobody knows how to feel the bunt, and they have really fast players.
And so let's lay down the bunt and cause some havoc and also know that amongst that havoc and amongst the walks and amongst all the stolen bases, they still have Aranda.
They still have players who can put the ball in play and out of the ballparks, which makes me – I'm older than you, but I remember the Cardinals of the mid 80s, the early to mid 80s, where they would have like a bunch of Jackrabbits and Jack Clark.
And so, you know, you have you have the Ozzie Smiths and the and the Willie McGee's and the Tom hers and the and the Vince Coleman's getting on base.
And so you got to throw fastballs because there's going to steal base and suddenly you throw in a Jack Clark and it's in the seats.
And so I'm really, I love that you have two styles of offense like this.
How do you think this is going to pan out in terms of these two styles clashing?
Well, I think at the very least, if you're not a huge baseball fan or follower, this might endear some more people to the game because it's not just going to be home runs, strikeouts, and walks.
And, Sully, you put it great where, yes, the Rays have a couple guys that can hit the ball out of the park.
Most notably, Junior Caminero, who more recently hit his first postseason homer.
