Chicago Cubs 5-2 Washington Nationals: 2016 Rewatch - Wrigley Field Hype, Zobrist Hot Streak And The Shota Argument

We're back at Wrigley Field, Jack.

And we are playing the Washington Nationals, who are very good.

Yeah, yeah.

They come into the season as the second best team in baseball.

Obviously, the Cubs come into it as first.

They come into this game with a 19-8 record, which is very, very, very good.

So it is.

And going through their lineup daily, it is pretty easy to see why.

Yeah, it's, I mean, we'll start from the top.

It's Michael A. Taylor leading off the centre fielder.

Anthony Rendon pre-Angels blow-up at third base.

Bryce Harper without, I believe, without any raw milk in right field.

Ryan Zimmerman at first.

Daniel Murphy hitting fifth and fielding at second base, obviously.

Cubs fans more than aware.

of Daniel Murphy, Jason Wirth in left, Wilson Ramos in centre, Danny Espinosa at short, and the nine-hitter and starting pitcher, Joe Ross.

Yeah, it's pretty damn good, so it is.

Bryce Hopper's coming into this season, obviously, with an MVP award under his belt.

And a record-breaking one on that.

He's one of the youngest National League MVPs ever, so he is.

Which is, we'll say, pretty damn impressive.

I did as well forget... how much I compared Chris Bryant and Bryce Harper to each other all throughout this period up to the high point of being convinced that the two because they were friends that Chris Bryant was going to convince Bryce Harper to sign for the Cubs when he went to Philly so he did so seeing him again in a Nationals uniform just like rejogged so many memories in my brain about that so that was fun And it's also fun to remember Anthony Rendon pre-hating baseball and being good.

Yeah, exactly.

It is, I think, for maybe a newer breed of baseball fans, it's quite easy to forget that Anthony Rendon on the Nationals was a problem.

Yeah, he was unbelievable.
