The Knicks are NBA champions after mounting yet another come-from-behind win.
According to the odds of the Knicks coming back to win in all four of the scenarios where they found themselves so far behind only to come back and win was like 237,000 to one.
Do you remember in the Eastern Conference Finals where the Cavaliers coach said, analytically, we are up 3-1 or whatever? Yeah.
They just couldn't close out games, which I think speaks to their youth and their lack of experience, particularly in the playoffs.
I mean, a lot of these guys, their top contributors... lack playoff experience or are just lacking NBA experience when you think about Wimbanyama, Steph Castle, of course, Dylan Harper.
De'Aaron Fox has been in the league for a long time, but he doesn't have the most playoff history like...
It's just not a group that has a ton of playoff experience, and I think when you're playing a team that's older, that made a deep run in the Eastern Conference playoffs a year ago in the Knicks, you start to feel that a little bit more.
Now, the irony of that is they were able to beat the Thunder in the Western Conference playoffs.
So maybe that's just an easy excuse for me as I sit here and evaluate the series, but I don't know why the Spurs weren't able to close out
The numbers literally back Wimby up when he says we dominated for most of this series because they led for 72% of the NBA Finals and lost in five games.
Again, I just found some of the statistics I was seeing on this to be unbelievable.
At one point, a 73% chance of winning game two because they were up two with a minute left in the fourth.
