Before we move on from college football, though, I wanna briefly touch on how this dynamic manifests in terms of status and physical environment.

Okay, yeah, like Oklahoma versus Texas, the Red River Showdown.

It's exactly.

Played since 1900, the defining characteristic of this rivalry is the venue itself.

It's a spectacle.

It is divided exactly 50/50 right down the 50-yard line.

Like, you have a literal sea of Oklahoma crimson on one side and a solid wall of Texas burnt orange on the other.

It is the most literal physical representation of the in-group, out-group divide you will find anywhere in sports.

His great-niece, Lila Cohen, is an architect in the Bay Area and is now directing a documentary on his life, Remembering the Future with Herb Green.
