O'Hare International Airport

Temperatures climb into the mid sixties, a mix of sun and clouds, clouds still winning out.

It's not until Thursday that we brighten it up, but we're not going to be adding too much in terms of measurable rainfall and we need a break midway almost four and a half inches of rainfall in just the past five days for this month, two and a half inches surplus and you can see O'Hare a little bit less almost three quarters of an inch above average in terms of rainfall so let's take a little bit of a break we'll take the clouds no heavy rain by thursday feeling nice temperatures back up to near 70 and we also get that sunshine outside right now it's chilly we're already down into the 50s north and west we have winds out of the north and east at about 15 miles per hour so for tonight those temperatures will be dropping into the 50s area why chilly conditions Chance of a passing shower drizzle overnight tomorrow.

We stayed at Up by O'Hare.

oh okay like mid like um what is that mid midtown midway yeah that would have been closer but uh it was like 300 more for two nights okay oh we stayed up by o'hare and that was averagely 40 minute drive but it's like i don't even notice a 40 minute drive anymore

When we take a look at our recording sites for both O'Hare and Midway.

Midway picking up almost two inches more than O'Hare over the past five days.

But you can see close to about two and three quarters of an inch at O'Hare, Midway.

close to about 4 1⁄2 inches surplus for the month there, 2 1⁄2 inches surplus for both because the past couple of days have just been so rainy.

But just to put it into perspective, now this evening we still do have the threat of a lingering isolated shower, areas of drizzle, but again, mostly dry.

LaGuardia, Philadelphia and New York's JFK were all impacted.

Here in Chicago, O'Hare has 47 cancellations right now.

Midway has four.

It is not clear if they are all connected to the issues out east.

Although Thursday gets a little better, we'll climb into the upper 60s by the time we get to Thursday.

Right now, a lot of cloud cover downtown.

We have seen some sunshine peaks through the clouds earlier today, but now it's 63 officially at O'Hare.

Winds are a bit gusty out of the northeast around 17 mph, so that's keeping temperatures in the mid to low 60s along the lakefront, some upper 60s to the south.

I wasn't already on a list, I was then.

And lo and behold, I go through TSA at O'Hare on Friday morning at about 6 o'clock in the morning.

Go through the clear line, mind you.

I'm already cleared, right? And all of a sudden, boom, I get popped.
