The man who knew too much.
This was directed by Alfred Hitchcock.
And I'm not 100% familiar with a lot of these actors, but the one person I do know the most from this is Peter Lorre.
He learned all of his lines phonetically.
Like, he took the time to learn, which is wild, because if you don't know that and you watch this movie, it's like, oh, this dude knows perfect English.
But that being said, there's a scene in this movie that pisses me off more than anything else, I think, in any other movie.
Hitchcock-wise, at least? No, just in general.
In general,
okay.
So it's when they're in the church.
Mm-hmm.
And, you know, it's the whole twist of like, oh, hey, you're not going to leave your friend, are you? And he's like, I guess not.
And the dude sits down and Peter Lohr goes, did you see if our guests had an offering? And he pulls the gun out of his, like, you know, his trench coat or whatever.
And he goes, dangerous.
And then just throws it on the platter.
Like, you talk about how dangerous guns can be and you just lazily toss it out of place.
Like, what if it went off and shot that lady?
Yeah.
But
it
was just so like, what the fuck,
man? But I didn't think watching this movie back that I would have got a wrestling reference in The Man Who Knew Too Much.
The scene when they're in the church and they start throwing chairs just looked like the ending to a bad ECW match.
