2026 Episode 6: NPL New South Wales Finals Special

And so a big thanks to Chloe Smith and Amber Luchtmeyer.

Of course, it's a pretty cutthroat, the women's finals.

I mean, the top four were well clear of the rest of the pack, but I still think we're going to be really entertained this weekend.

And great to see that Bulls are hosting their semifinal at Northbridge.

They did play it at Valentine's Sports Park last season, but they'll be back at Northbridge on Sunday and on Saturday afternoon at the Village Green.

You'll be there, Maeve, as well, as will I, for UNSW against Apia Leichhardt.

I'm going to put you on the spot.

Do you think UNSW can go one step better than last year, or do you think Apia will go back to the grand final for the third year in a row?

I think UNSW will go the next step.

I think also selfishly at the start of the season, I called it as a UNSW and Bulls grand final.

So selfishly, I want that to be the final.

But yeah, I think UNSW this year, their game has just been different.

Their leadership on the field, especially with Angelique, I think has just taken next level.

And as Chloe was saying, they're just hungry for it.

And I think RPR...

They've weathered a bit of different results this year.

They've had some high highs and I think they've felt a bit of the lowest lows.

I think it's definitely been a flow on effect into their game, the changes that they've had.

So yeah, I want UNSW to progress.

What do you think?

Well, just to revisit what we predicted in pre-season, I did get four out of the six in the men's top six.

Yes,

I was thinking that.

And

I got three out of the four in the women's top four.
