Oh, then it's a paranormal thriller.
And it keeps changing, and it ends up there's a shot that's right out of Hellraiser.
And so I was wondering, when you guys were making this, how much were you thinking about that sort of strict sort of genre delineation, and how much was it just this is, you know, a single cohesive story and we don't-- that we want to tell, and we don't care about how people categorize it?
I th- I think, at least, uh, when I think back on it, I, I don't-- I think we were more focused on the this is, this is the story we're telling, and we weren't too concerned with, you know, what, what genre people are gonna really care to stick it into.
Mm-hmm.
But we liked that it-- we, we, we liked having it be able to kind of flow in and out a little bit and, like-

... touch on other, other things, 'cause that was one of the things we enjoyed most about it, was, um, being able to have some twists there, things that you weren't expecting.
'Cause I, I feel like nowadays that's, that's one of the big things you need to s- you know, have a, your films or stories stand out at all.
Yeah, because, um, when I wrote the initial draft of the script, um, it was more so-- it was very cynical in many ways.
[laughs]
And that, and that was the, the main problem that it had where everybody who kept reading it was saying like, "I don't like these people." [laughs] So-

So, um, when, um, we brought Devin on board, Devin Fern, who ended up writing the draft, um, um, re- um, tweaked it, and me and Devin worked together, and we figured out how to make these characters a little bit more likable.
You can see like, you know, certain jokes here and there that really softened the blow as far as how cynical these people are.
And as far as the, the, um, rollercoaster ride of the different genres, that was more so, um, initially when I wrote the, um, initial draft originally, it was more so, uh, kind of a tribute and nod to all the horror influences I had growing up, you know? And, um...
