Godzilla: Final Wars (2004)

Godzilla, Final Wars, 2004.

That's right.

Hell of a movie.

This was a movie direct, came out in 2004, directed by Ruhei Kitamura.

This is the 50th anniversary of the original Godzilla movie.

So the director sought to make a kind of, I don't know if he sought to make, but the way it ended up, he now talks about it like a best of album of all Godzilla movies.

uh, the monster movies.

So, and it's like a best of album as a movie, which I think you can kind of tell.

Yeah.

I don't know.

I, I don't know if this is embarrassing to admit, but there are some very famous bands that I got into off of their, uh, best of albums.

Okay.

Rush, uh, and Rolling Stones.

Um, who's the, the Queens of the Stone Age is a big one.

So I think that this is, this is your first Godzilla movie, right? Well,

technically, I took a film class in college.

In one of the movies we were watching, I think it was the original Godzilla.

1954

Godzilla.

In America, King of the Monsters.

In Japan, just Gojira.

Yes, I believe that was it.

So I had some background, like the original background for Godzilla.

And so I knew a little bit.

But not nearly as much as somebody who has seen Godzilla.
