Godzilla

Yeah, this movie is so full of just weirdo moments.

I mean, this whole section is like that, right? Because, like, Zilla, so the American Godzilla from, you know, from the 98 Godzilla that we watched, um...

shows up in Sydney and there's like these two like punk dudes that are getting chased down in the city and it's just real it's so poorly acted and they get crushed by Godzilla it is so cheesy

so those two characters Nathan also had their own specific scene their own storyline that was cut completely out of the movie

He kills all of them, no problem.

And then, like I said, he had killed Hedorah and Eberra.

The most notable sequence was, like you said, we do get Godzilla versus Zilla.

So they actually get... original godzilla versus the 1998 godzilla character and this happens in sydney australia and like i said this kind of came about to where they were like they lost like sony had lost the licensing to that character because they kind of basically just like oh that thing is not profitable at all and yeah uh toho kind of picked it up and used it um the most notable thing too i want to say is that you know godzilla in this one he does have a suit in this one and zilla is entirely cgi yeah like the whole time too like that's almost like it almost felt like an intention like they're like we don't we're not we're not even gonna make a suit for him because they didn't make a suit for it in the movie

You know what? Yes, Zilla is one of the monsters, the CG monster that shows up.

That's a take on the Godzilla movie from Hollywood from a few years before.

Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire.

This movie was released in Japan on March 29th, 2024.

It was surprising.

We were speaking to a few people that hadn't realized that they were formerly Baby Godzilla.

Like, Baby Godzilla fans who never knew they were now Heck, which is always something you run the risk of when you, you change your names, and sometimes it just doesn't penetrate with people, uh, especially if they're not on social media.

And, aye, great.

I thought Heck were excellent.

If, uh, if I'd had another pint in my hand, I maybe would, wouldn't have left and maybe I'd caught the last bit, but I- I'm glad I did catch what I caught.

It's mad that they cha- You know they changed their name 'cause-

And that is a direct reference to the 98 American Godzilla movie.

Yeah, Japan was not happy about that film.

So much so that in a future movie, Godzilla Final Wars, the last of the Millennium Era of Godzilla, they literally put Zilla in the film and kill him off by just bumping him into the Sydney Opera House and killing him.

Very short sequence.

But yeah, with that said, they have this meeting, and then it kind of cuts away.

So Shin would actually be the end of the Godzilla series if you're watching it chronologically in canon.

Now...

Final Wars brings up Godzilla the America, the 1999, but they just call him Zilla.

They bring that character in.

He gets jobbed out, by the way.

You know, Billy Zane's my guy.

Let's be honest.

The main selling point of Zilla was Jean Reno.
