It's too soon to panic on Rams DC Chris Shula, says Fox NFL insider

Well, the Niners ran for 175 yards.

They still can't really stop the run consistently.

That's always been kind of an issue with this team if you go back and look at this defense.

Because of the way they play this defense, they want to play with five, six defensive backs.

It's one of the reasons they went and got Puna Ford last year was to kind of help improve their run defense.

um so i do feel like um although they have a lot of talent up front obviously adding uh you know somebody the caliber of aaron donald is gonna um it's gonna it's gonna make your defense better um but i just feel like schematically they have to put their money players like Trent McDuffie and Jalen Watson in more positions where they can make plays.

It just didn't seem like they were around the football enough to really significantly disrupt the game from a defensive side of perspective.

You know, we know what the Giants are going to do.

I mean, Cam's got to, who's going to run up the middle.

Jackson's darts going to do Jackson dart things, which means he's going to be in a position to probably get lit up a couple of times, you know, Um, they're, they're going to lean on running the football offensively and defensively, you know, they have some guys that can get after it.

So, um, you know, that's a lot to say.

Um, I feel like this is a good get back game for the Rams.

They have a lot of time to prepare.

Um, I think defensively they'll, they'll have some, some tricks and wrinkles in different ways to, to get after, uh, the giants offense.

And I expect a better performance.
