So they invested big in fixing that this offseason, bringing in Jalen Watson, trading big for Trent McDuffie.

That's a very talented cornerback duo.

And I bet you're going to see Trent McDuffie on Jalen Waddle more often than not.

Now defenses can't just key in on Cortland Sutton as your clear number one and your clear go-to solution.

It's Waddle now that's actually seemingly the number one.

And if you take him away, all right, Jalen Watson, Cortland Sutton, one-on-one, that's a matchup you love if you're the Denver Broncos.

To get that in the past, you'd have to have Trent McDuffie out for a game, right? And then the Chiefs would throw Jalen Watson in there on him.

I think the Broncos have the obvious advantage on the edge.

And in years past, Courtland Sutton has gotten the best of Trent McDuffie and Jalen Watson, and now you have Jalen Waddell out there.

So, I think for the Broncos, this should be a game where they play more consistently offensively, because the Rams don't really have a pass rush right now with Myles Garrett out that is fearsome.

And then their secondary, your number two receiver has gotten the best of their number one corner in years past.

How many teams would upgrade having a defensive rookie of the year edge for someone who's better? Not that much.

When they got blown out by Seattle, they addressed their cornerback position by getting Trent McDuffie and Jalen Watson from the Chiefs.

When the Rams, when their tight ends with Higby and Allen were getting injured, what did they do the last two years in the second round? They backfilled that with tight ends, more in the blocking, but more can help out in the run.

So they attack, attack.

But you know, as cliche as it sounds, he's truly been as advertised in terms of just the way he can play sticky and coverage and, The way he can play, whether the defense is in his own coverage or if he's in man coverage, he's met and maybe even exceeded, you know, the expectations that they've had for him through at least the first couple of games.

And then, yeah, Jalen Watson also, I'm sure, is another, you know, name that Broncos fans are familiar with because he came over from Kansas City with Trent, but as a free agent signing.

And, you know, he's made an impact as well.

And then, yeah, obviously, you know, not to undersell the return of Aaron Donald either.

Yeah, well, I think when I was, you know, looking at, you know, just sort of the storylines and matchups and whatnot at the start of this week, immediately what caught my attention is just the the secondary and each team's respective passing games as well.

You know, I look at obviously the way that, you know, Jalen Waddle played, you know, the, you know, big acquisition this off season at receiver for, for Denver and just, you know, Cortland Sutton, you know, being the veteran presence that he is.

And then you look at Trent McDuffie and Jalen Watson for the Rams in the secondary.

And then, obviously, depending on whether or not Puka Nakua plays, like him and Devontae Adams going against Pat Sertan second and Riley Moss.

So where is that coverage going to lock into? You're going to lock into Jalen Waddell.

65 out of 95 for Jalen Watson, who is the slot cover projected, at least from a PFF standpoint, on Pat Bryant.

Pat Bryant in this offense through the two games, now that we've had one bad and one good, is actually number two still in first read percentage on that team.
