Lakers Bounce Back vs. Clippers! | Role Players Step Up | Vando Gets His Chance

So let's do this here first.

I just kind of want to talk about the concept of what we saw tonight and why I thought tonight was a little bit significant for a couple different reasons.

Forget the Lakers winning by 16 against the Clippers.

Honestly, the Clippers are just an awful team.

They are a really, really bad team, especially missing some of their players.

If you want to throw Ingram on that list, throw Brandon Ingram on there as well.

We obviously know I'm sorry, Brandon, Brandon Ingram and Rui Hachimura.

So we could throw a few of these different players on the list as well.

So we know that the Clippers are the kind of a team in transition here.

I don't really know what they are, but the Lakers kicked their ass and they did it on a night where I think you could have made some excuses on the Luca portion.

You could have made some excuses and say, well, it's a second of a back to back situation.

And frankly, it would have been a very disappointing loss if the Lakers were not able to beat the Clippers, but it really wasn't a game.

Lakers went on this stretch.

They went on this run in the second quarter, which... really decided the game for the Lakers.

And I'll get into the box score in a little bit.

I don't want to do it right now.

But it was 31-16 for the Lakers in that second quarter, and that kind of decided the game.

Here's why tonight was a little bit more unique for me and why I enjoyed it more maybe than these other four games that the Lakers have played.

This is the fifth game for the Lakers.

They're 4-1.

Part of the reason why I just enjoyed it for what it was, I enjoyed it because the Lakers have nine new players on this roster, and I got to see a ton of them tonight.

And I didn't just see random dudes.

I saw guys genuinely contributing.

I saw a little bit something from Colin Sexton.

He was getting some crap from a lot of us yesterday, including myself.
