I mean, I love the thought of, The largest chunk of prophetic expression that we see in the New Testament is actually found in the last book, the book of Revelation, which John, you know, that would be 20-something chapters of, you know, what we would call New Covenant prophetic expression.
He obviously says that, so, you know, Revelation 1, 1 says, the whole this whole prophetic book is the revelation of jesus christ and i think that i think that you don't want to move on from that that foundation point when it comes to the prophetic you ultimately and you talk about false prophets or false prophecy or bad practice and all the rest At the end of the day, I just think the macro goal of the prophetic is the true revelation of Jesus Christ, this Christocentric reality.
And a couple of scriptures later, it's in Revelation 1.5, John says, and from Jesus, who is the faithful witness.
This comment about the faithful witness, I think that prophetic ministry and every other expression, pastoral, apostolic, evangelist, all the rest, The goal of it is the faithful witness of Christ.
And I think that with all that we're going to talk about, one of the great prophetic scriptures where it talks about it is Isaiah.
And that was prophetic and it was outworked in the brutality, of course, of the crucifixion.
But I think prophetically that is also, to some degree, a statement of what I see happening with this can we call it prophetic chaos, in the midst of it, in the midst of all the scandals and everything else, all of that is disastrous.
But the greater or the greatest disaster is that there is a marring to the nations, to the earth, to those that, as you don't have a living faith in Christ anymore, The image of Christ is being marred and the real Jesus is being lost in the headlines.
We want to be the faithful witness of Christ and these scandals and all this stuff work against that.
Yeah, I think it's super crucial to, you know, the book of Revelation is full of so many prophetic visions, but the very first vision that comes is of Jesus playing lamb on the throne.
Who is worthy to open the scroll? Who is worthy to read the way the kingdom operates? Who is the one that's got the key, who unlocks this? It's Jesus.
And I'm not sure that is made clear for people when they understand what prophetic ministry is.
I think if you've been on your socials, you've been listening around in the last five years, have heard of all the scandals in North America around the prophecies, around who's going to be president, all the prophecies.
