Who Should Giants Start at QB? + Mailbag | 226

First question comes from NY Giants NI.

Who starts on Sunday, Jameis Winston or J.J.

McCarthy? The most simple way that this question was asked on our mailbag tweets, I just went with it.

I do want to hit this on every level, from analyzing both their games against the Saints, what's the pros, cons.

But to answer the question bluntly, I don't know.

I've tried to find out, and I don't want to spend too much time on this portion of it because I do believe we'll find out on Wednesday.

Most people will listen to this and I think know who's going to be the quarterback.

Hell, it might come out at 8 a.m., right? Sometimes that happens.

I've tried to find out, and I generally don't know at this point.

I don't think a player's new as of Tuesday or not willing to share it.

I don't know, but Eileen...

I lean J.J. McCarthy, but I think Jameis more so than I ever did at the time of this recording.

What does that mean? It means I still think J.J.

McCarthy is going to be the starter, but I have more doubt than I did on Monday or Sunday after the game.

Yeah, I mean, I don't know what they're going to do because the timing sucks.

I really wish we were having this conversation on the bye week mailbag.

Like, should J.J. McCarthy just take over now? I think that I think that's actually when you asked me when he was going to get his action first.

I think that's what I said.

Right.

Like coming off of the bye.

Yeah.

I mean, that's what made sense.

Yeah.

Forget even James Winston's play, just like letting him learn the playbook.

I think that's the basis of it, though.
