And so they basically wiped out the entire Muslim world until they reached to Egypt.

So everywhere from Mongolia to Egypt, as they say, was just a path of destruction.

And when they get to the gates of Egypt, if they enter into Egypt, then palestine is gone and hijaz is gone as well so their thought is to also reach mecca and medina and to wipe out the entire uh holy sites of the muslim world as well and if you're a muslim that's living at that time in that area you know that there is nothing that's going to be spared by these people if they enter it what happens the 27th night of ramadan as well the year 658 after Hijrah, is the battle of Ain Jalut, literally named after Goliath, which is incredible, right? Because you have the Muslims who represent David that day against a Goliath-like army.

And it was a small group of the Mamluks that were able to achieve victory over the Mongols.

And it's really neat because you get the opportunity to actually see a different culture, a different country.

I've never been to Mongolia before.

And so that was a really new experience for me to be able to go, not only just go to the meeting, but also have some opportunity to go around and actually experience a little bit of the culture of Mongolia.

So I interviewed people from all over the world who live with various kinds of social stigma based on the society in which they live.

And literally from people from Mongolia to wherever.

And what I learned about it is that acknowledgement in various forms is the number one way we humanize one another.

And that comes in many different packages.

And then I'm adjuncting for Ascent Seminary and I'm also adjuncting for Crew in their IBS stuff.

And then I do short gigs in places like Mongolia or Philippines or Uganda or whatever.
