#0248 Lindsay Clancy, Karmelo Anthony, And The UK Cases All Have This In Common - Further. Every. Day.

A mother who killed her three children. A boy convicted of murder. A government leaflet. All of the above robbed victims of justice, and criminals of agency. Not to the dead. To the accused. Augustine called virtue "the order of love." Aquinas said we are not called to love everyone identically, and that treating all claims on us as equal is not a higher love but a disordered one. This episode traces what happens to compassion when that order is removed: Lindsay Clancy's trial in Duxbury, the Karmelo Anthony verdict in Frisco, and the Home Office booklet published in London this week. Every figure on screen is sourced and every source is below. Where the record contradicted what was widely reported, we went with the record and said so. As long as necessary, as short as possible. The concern is a system that reaches for a prescription with no accompanying design to address what is underneath.
