The title track, with its memorable line, Look at Mother Nature on the Run in the 1970s, was an ecological warning while the confrontational Southern man directly tackled racism in the American South, though it famously received a scathing initial review from Rolling Stone upon release, who dismissed the songs as being uniformly dull.

How many voice came out of my mouth? Too much to count I already got away, don't wanna split, but I don't think you really understand what I mean Couple late nights with a lady and she's, now she my dream I'm into DK, seducing my sleepers I heard a knock on my noggin, I talked to my dog And he told me now don't go toboggan, now slippery slopes when you lagging You get your breath when the only baguette Mama's a word when your daddy's on line to option But praise be to God, gave me a boss as a reverend, yeah Tommy, I still got a father in heaven, approach him reverend I sent my heart to go seek in his face, now it's his voice that I hear when I pray, yeah Trust what he say, I cannot faint for the sake of my fate He been to the grave, but that ain't the place for the kids that he raised We spin the block and we hop on Singin' Hosanna, Hosanna Heaven sent Christ as the bread of life We say he's mana, he's mana We spin the block and we hop on Singin' Hosanna, Hosanna Heaven sent Christ as the bread of life We say he's mana, he's mana I face when I make it Man's in the mansion, not the basement I will do a magic in the matrix, yeah Knowing the statement All of my life I was roaming But I don't come for the Trojans I don't go but in land chosen I know I shouldn't be here Back when I wasn't no one I would think about dying on dozens of days in a year Let me be clear I heard the devil's demons start to whisper inside of my ear Now I'm awake in my bed with a whole lot of monster fear I saw the man in the mirror His end was coming in fact it was more or less near He might just go disappear out the pier when he finally go disappear Do you want life or the death or the death of the birth? That was a question I heard when I wound myself back in the church I used to think I would die and return to the earth It just depends on the worth of my works Whether I'm back as a bird or a birch Bride is a way and one day we'll converge I'm sorry to say it was somewhat absurd Here's what I learned, death I deserve And this world is destined to burn A merit to favor cannot be earned It came from the Savior and so now I'm turned Soon I'm gon' be in this heavenly city But right now I just had to yearn We spend a block and we hop on Singing Hosanna, Hosanna Heaven sent Christ as the bread of life We say he's mana, he's mana We spin the block and we hop on Singing Hosanna, Hosanna Heaven sent Christ as the bread of life We say he's mana, he's mana We spin the block and we hop on Singing Hosanna, Hosanna Heaven sent Christ as the bread of life We say he's mana, he's mana You're connected to The Antidote, where Christian music doesn't suck.

11 MINS LATER

Zaire InkGUEST
14:48
So it's based on the biblical psalm of the same name.
Zaire InkGUEST
14:51
And the writer of that psalm is really expressing, especially in the opening verses, frustration and confusion about this apparent contradiction of why bad things happen to good people and good things happen to bad people.
Zaire InkGUEST
15:05
And he can't understand that as he's saying, why are the righteous suffering and the wicked are prospering and are able to make it through this life with impunity? And so something happens closer to the end of the psalm where he enters into the presence of God and he begins to finally understand how God's justice is working through time and eternity and that people who have continued on in darkness will face a level of judgment.
Zaire InkGUEST
15:34
And so for me, my frustrations over things that were happening in my own life really pulled from that psalm.
