The Washington Stand's Casey Harper shares the latest on Ukraine/Russia war negotiations, reports suggesting President Trump and Prime Minister Netanyahu are discussing resuming military operations…
Mark HarrisGuest
Casey HarperThat came just hours after U.S. Special Envoy met with Russian President Putin to discuss ending the war in Ukraine.
What details have emerged regarding these latest attacks and the timing of it all?

Well, Russia launched at least 21 ballistic missiles at Ukraine that killed at least nine civilians.

You played Vance's clip where he seems, I wouldn't say optimistic, but open to chance of development there.

Now Ukraine, for their part, they've been asking for America and the U.S. for more of those coveted Patriot missile interceptors.

They want to fend off Russia's missile attacks on civilian infrastructure, but those interceptors are hard to come by.

Now these new attacks do come shortly after the Kremlin did admit that they would be open to U.S.-mediated negotiations starting next month.

Zelensky, for his part, he's agreed to freeze the battle lines as they are to give those peace talks scheduled for early November a chance to succeed.

But I think many are still pretty skeptical about the future of these talks, Jody.
In some other international news, U.S. officials say that the U.S. and Israeli militaries have drafted up some plans for renewed strikes against Iran after this upcoming November elections.

Yeah, well, the plans reportedly focus on targeting Iran's nuclear facilities, their energy infrastructure, and their arsenal of missiles and drones.

Now, President Trump has not yet approved these plans for this military operation, according to reports, but we do hear that it will be a short operation.

Now, meanwhile, Iranian officials have warned that any new offensive is gonna trigger an explosion of their targeting beyond just the commercial shipping we've seen to energy infrastructure, strikes on data centers, and even underwater internet cables, which is a new development.

So far, Iran's negotiators have not been willing to compromise on their nuclear program.
