All right.

We began with the third anniversary of the deadliest terrorist attack in Israel's history.

On October 7th, 2023, Hamas terrorists stormed southern Israel, murdering approximately 1,200 people and taking more than 250 hostages.

Today, Israelis are remembering those who were brutally murdered, honoring the victims and reflecting on a day that forever.

forever change their nation.

Joining us now is Washington Stand reporter Casey Harper.

So Casey, how is Israel marking this solemn anniversary?

NICK SCHIFRIN Yeah, thanks, Tony.

Three years, as you said, after the deadly Hamas terrorist attack, Israelis across the nation have gathered in cities and towns for memorial services for the victims who were murdered, as you said, 1,200 mostly civilians, in a day that traumatized Israel and has since transformed the Middle East.

The terror attacks marked the deadliest day for the Jewish people since the Holocaust.

And, of course, it sparked the war in Gaza.

This third anniversary since the attacks marks the first time for Israelis, though, to remember this day without having any hostages still held in Gaza, Tony.
