And I wonder today if there isn't someone that needs to say, Lord, I repent of my anger.
0:46
I repent of my bitterness.
0:47
I don't want to be that anymore.
0:49
I don't want to spew that anymore.
0:51
I want you to fill me afresh and anew with your spirit because you have said, be not drunk with wine.
0:57
Don't be controlled by the things of this world.

But then there is something called progressive sanctification.
1:38
That speaks of growing into the image of Jesus Christ, becoming more like Jesus Christ, and Some people make the mistake of saying, well, I'm in Christ, I'm sanctified in Christ, so I can just party hardy and live like everybody else and do whatever I want because my sins are forgiven.
1:56
But God says, no, you should not take that as your license to sin.
2:00
Since you are in Christ, keep growing in Christ.
2:03
And this is what verse 26 is talking about, that he might sanctify and cleanse it, speaking of the church, with the washing of the water by the word.
2:13
So a sanctifying love is this ongoing relationship where I'm getting closer to the Lord.

You show me a man who gets into a marriage thinking, what do I get out of this? And you're setting yourself up for disappointment.
0:17
You're entering into a narcissistic journey that will only end in destruction.
0:21
If all you're looking for is what you get out of it, you are going to fail in that relationship every time.

A spiritual Christ-like relationship says, what can I put into this today?

I've already paid the price with my blood on the cross of Calvary.

You can come freely and take of the water of life.

2:05
Two weeks ago, we studied the horrific judgments of what is known as the tribulation period.
2:12
And we learned that during the seven-year tribulation, there will be judgments poured out upon the earth as God is judging an unbelieving world.
2:22
This morning, we come to the end of that period of time known as the judgment, the time of Jacob's trouble.
2:30
And we will look at what is really the most oft-mentioned event in Bible prophecy and in some respects in all of the Bible.
2:39
And that is the second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
2:44
Now, some of you will remember when we began this series of messages that I preached from Acts chapter 1, verses 10 through 11, where the Bible says, And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as Jesus went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.

Now that's, how many of you would say, this is a heavy passage today? This church at the end will be a church that is known as a church that killed many Christians.
2:18
Now throughout history and during the tribulation itself, false religion has taken the lives of many Christians as well as many Jews.
2:28
But specifically here it speaks of the saints or the believers.
2:32
Now I want you just to think in terms of history with me for just a moment.

Some of you recall the inquisitions or what was called the period of the Crusades.

0:44
You can try to find joy in every kind of an invitation, but you will be left thirsty.
0:49
And yet when you come to the Lord Jesus Christ, the Bible tells us, that you can take of His water freely, and that from the water of life it will never run dry.

2:10
And, uh, at the time of the second coming, Satan, of course, will have his head completely crushed.
2:16
He will be destroyed at that time.
2:18
But the Antichrist will be speaking lies, uh, all throughout the tribulation.
