So that's ongoing as well.

And then, um, of course, we know about the massive fraud that's going on in Minnesota with the Somalis and the, uh, different social like Medicare, SNAP, and all of that in the, it's in the tens of millions, if not hundreds of millions of dollars.

And it was being, and now they're saying it may be even up into a billion, but it was being used to fund terrorist organizations within the US from the, what is called the Eastern Bloc of Africa.

That's down in the eastern tip around the Cape again of, uh, like so, you know, those countries down in there that were actually funding terrorist cells in the United States, part of that trafficking thing again as well.

It's about 70%, uh, uh, foreign.

Four groups: Somalis, Ethiopians, Pakistanis, and Bangladeshis.

Uh, outside of that, uh, we have a fast food sector, which is a massive sector, 100% South African.

We have a huge sector of rental, backroom rental.

There is a security dimension to the crisis as well.

The United States has increased military strikes against Al-Shabaab and ISIS Somalia while cutting off the humanitarian aid that so many Somalis rely on to survive.

So the US is escalating its military campaign while withdrawing assistance that helps people survive in the face of the very extremist groups that the US is targeting.

Somalia has not yet tipped into widespread famine or large-scale starvation mortality, but that window is narrowing quickly.

Yeah, 100%.

And so it was wild that then while we're there, like, while we are in country having these meetings, on August 10th, the president does it again.

So we're in Somalia, and he unleashes this tirade during an Oval Office press conference and talk, starts talking about Somalis again and says, "They're not smart.

They have no a-" I'm not gonna do the accent.

So whether we're talking about pronouns or we're talking about sexualization of kids or You know, they're letting vile, evil criminals back on the streets or opening the borders or whatever.

Maybe they're letting these Somalis and other nationalities cheat us.

It's all in this cosmic leftist nonsense.

And President Trump has taken over the universe.

Some of the way that people have gotten around this is by coming as refugee status, and they've allowed refugees then to immediately get on welfare.

So, you know, we have several hundred thousand Somalis in Minnesota.

Many of them came as refugees, and about 85 percent of them that started on welfare are still on welfare.

So, no, I've put forward legislation on a couple of occasions now.

Billions of dollars.

Somalians in Minnesota, we're talking to you.

We all know the story of Nick Shirley, a great story, blowing the lid off these Somalians with their fake daycares, medical transport buses and such.

And it turns out there in the state of Minnesota that everybody knew the governor knew.

the attorney general knew as well ilhan omar knew so this wasn't something that everybody was just you know caught by surprise everybody knew what was going on and for the trump administration i love that this is something that they're trying to do i love that the republicans are putting um a process in place so that they can catch the fraudsters you know minnesota refused to give up the information to the federal government to figure out what was going on with all of this fraud.

The Republicans, anti fraud, pro legal immigration.

Because this, at least to me, and I know to a lot of you folks, it does seem like just common sense.

If we believe that fraud is happening and our taxpayer dollars are getting ripped off by Somalians, by people from Guatemala, people from Russia, people from America, I don't care.

Senator Tina Smith says she's working to help free a Somali man arrested in Minnesota and sent to Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.

Matt Sepik reports.

Federal agents arrested Adam Abdullah in December.

They shuttled him between detention centers in the U.S. before sending him to Guantanamo Bay in late August.

The 31-year-old asylum seeker told NPR News last week that he's one of eight Somalis there and is limited to one 10-minute phone call a day.

He's locked in a military prison originally built for terrorism suspects.

DFL Senator Tina Smith says the Trump administration is using Guantanamo to conflate immigration with terrorism.

18 US Army Rangers were killed.

Uh, hundreds of Somalis died in that.

The US pulled out, and Somalia was left to its own devices for a number of years.

Despite the Ethiopian invasion, Al-Shabaab, the extremist protectors of the Al-Qaeda terrorists Fazul and Nabhan, is rapidly gaining mass popularity.

At this point, uh, in early 2007, uh, Shabaab morphs from a small, committed Islamist militia of about 400 mujahideen to a much larger movement, uh, involving thousands of Somalis who are supporting them tactically.

They're supporting them to get the Ethiopian in- invasion, uh, out of Somalia.
