So I, uh, this is one of those weird movies where, like, I, I talk about this a lot, uh, in my discussions of horror fandom, but, like, I came to a lot of horror stuff late in life, and Audition I came to in a weird way, which was, uh, when my parents weren't home, I would watch episodes of Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments, uh, which will make another appearance in this conversation later.

And so I weirdly had the ending of Audition spoiled for me long before I saw the movie.
I hear so many horror fanatics talk about Bravo's 100 Scariest Movie Moments.

I was, I think, a junior in high school when it, when it aired, and it was such a, a point of education, and there were so many movies that I, like, ran to the video store and got after hearing about them.

but when I finally did watch it, the, the amazing thing about it is it's so notorious for that ending, for everything that happens in that final, like, 25-minute stretch, but even knowing that, and I went back and re-watched it knowing we were gonna talk about this, even knowing that, it works like gangbusters.

Uh, like, what, what about going back to that first experience with it in, in 2009, did you know anything going in? Like, what, what impact did it have on you immediately?
