On my 36th birthday, we're going back in time 40 years to the first video game movie.
Oh, yeah, okay, I guess it's that.
It is
officially the first movie based on a specific video game.
It is in that weird thing where it's like, is it a feature film? It was released
Well, you know, they release movies like that.
I've been to see
like a 20-minute Digimon movie in a cinema.
And then they charge full price.
That's the insane thing.
Yeah, like my daughter is into... otsumatsu-san or something like that the six the six uh another to do well brothers and you know we took her to see that full price like 60 minute movie it's like what the hell that's not a movie
that's what you and your wife couldn't watch a different movie because nothing else was that short right
correct yes yes so i just i took a walk and then sat around the lobby and then a student was there and he was like hiding from me because i'd already seen him but he i guess he thought he hadn't so he was like hiding behind pillars and stuff so i wouldn't see him the pillars
the first anime that i saw and i think you saw matt was bow which yeah
i was about to say it was a bow which is the most intense anime you can watch basically 45
minutes long is based on a manga by the guy who did jojo's bizarre adventure if you didn't know that very violent uh but yeah it's like 45 minutes or 50 minutes so that was a movie But
in that case, it was shown to us as just like a weird thing, so we weren't thinking about the link.
It was a dude's apartment, right? But you know what
else is a weird thing? This is Films and Filth, and it's Luke's birthday episode...
So this week we are covering the 1986 Japanese OVA, Super Mario Brothers, The Great Mission to Rescue Peach.
But of course, it will be a backdoor to discussing a ranking of all four Mario movies.
