Bandcamp

Jam out.

And Bandcamp and SoundCloud

and iTunes.

Listen to Bolo Tai, his third album.

Just a quick heads up.

This episode is releasing on Friday, November 6th, which is a Bandcamp Friday.

And both Maddie and I have bands with music on Bandcamp.

But basically, if you purchase from anyone on Bandcamp today, the platform doesn't charge a fee.

My band's name is Second Homes.

Maddie's band's name is Faith Void.

I'm going to link to both in our show notes.

And if you're feeling like buying music on Bandcamp, today would help out a lot.

Now, to be fair, it was super challenging to get even get a song out before social media.

You know, like it wasn't just uploaded to a DSP, uploaded to Bandcamp or whatever.

It was it was.

Like you had to have a lot of times have a record deal or like print out CDs and sell them out your trunk or, you know, and then there was a music video.

I'm Peter A. Buster Wolf, rapper, producer extraordinaire, New York native, now based in Tallahassee, Florida, and part of the incredible Citronella Room Collective, is back on My Little Underground to talk about his new album, Revolut.

It's only available on Bandcamp and CitronellaRoom.com, and you'll understand why if you keep listening.

We also discuss the breaking of the rules when it comes to DJing, how college radio stations like WVFS in Tallahassee have been huge supporters of his music.

He also shares some insight on new music from his Don't Tell a Soul project with Artisan P. Buster Wolf, generally speaking, is definitely one of my favorite artists right now.

Yeah, exactly.

So Revolu is not available on major platforms to stream.

It's only on CitronellaRoom.com and Bandcamp.

So are you abandoning the Apples and Spotify's completely? Or is there any like streaming platform that you feel will align with Buster Wolf and Citronella Room as a whole?

Or...

You know about Bandcamp, right? Go to Bandcamp.

Bandcamp at least reimburses and pays up to 80% to 85% back to the artist.

That's great.

So if you go on and buy a digital download of somebody's, instead of going on Spotify and downloading it, which they got 42 cents for an entire album, whatever it is, probably not even that.

But buy it through Bandcamp and download it.

They're going to get 85% of the money.

If it was a $10 album, it's $8.50 back to the artist.

So as usual, I hope it's inspired you to go and listen to the rest of the album.

They are on Bandcamp, so you can try before you buy, as they say.

So check it out at your earliest convenience.

Lighthouse Sparrows.

Good to have them on board.

Now, another band that's on Bandcamp, and I have played these guys before, and I am down to interview Steve Babb.

Now, if those of you who are familiar with Steve Babb, you will know he's the mastermind behind Glass Hammer, who have been running for a number of years.

Well, they have a new album due out this coming Friday, November the 6th.

95.

And it's Bandcamp Friday today where the platform Bandcamp waives its fees, meaning more money goes directly into the pockets of independent musicians.

For artists across Limerick and beyond, it's become one of the biggest days of the year.

It encourages people to discover new music and support local talent, which we love doing here.

I make a lot of personal music, but I'm kind of leaning, going more into conceptual stuff at the moment.

So rapping from different perspectives and storytelling.

And I have a song coming out on Friday on Bandcamp and YouTube.

There's a music video and all the streaming services.

Vinyls are moving.

It is Bandcamp Friday tomorrow, so if you want to support, this is the best day to do it.

We're going to listen to this one.

I'm going to do all my outro.

They provided the music.

You can find them on iTunes, Spotify, and... stonedcobra.bandcamp.com and check out me and steve talking video games every monday on the high potion podcast and we'll see you guys next week i'm halls

i'm will may the force be with you may the force be with
