Mother Brain

On Saturday mornings, Captain and the Game Master portrayed the adventures of a high school boy from Northridge, California, sucked through his screen into Videoland.

In this Nintendo-inspired fictional world, Kevin, the titular Captain and Game Master, was aided by Kid Icarus, Mega Man, Simon Belmont, and Princess Lana in his battle with Mother Brain.

Captain N was loosely based on the 1988 short story Captain Nintendo, published in Nintendo Power, the company's self-published strategy and tip magazine.

Captain Nintendo was renamed Captain N in anticipation of legislation limiting how toys were marketed in children's shows.

... what I thought way back in 1980, whatever it was, uh, Mother Brain kinda looks delicious.

That unless you somehow manage to get so deep into Mother Brain as a limited time thing that you become a thing that everybody wants to do, nobody really wants to do it.

yeah i think the puyo puyo bit was best it's so funny they like If you know, Puyo Puyo is like a take on Tetris from a million years ago.

Then when you kill it, like the other bosses, it turns into a kind of bigger version of that, kind of a wee floating... gene thing, only this time you don't get to collect it, it flies away.

Then you find, like, a fucking kind of ex-parasite version of Mother Brain, like this horrible big fucking monster thing.

It's destroyed your ship and that.

There's also, like, an ex-parasite version of Ridley.

It had like that had the sense of humor that show had and the way they were just like, screw it.

Mother Brain is a black woman who's mad.

And, you know, Simon Belmont is a vain prick like that kind of thing.

I was very into and I'm still into.

People lost their minds.

But the Mother Brain Amiibo, do you have that one?

No.

Oh man, it's pretty cool.

I think it was for Dread? It wasn't Mother Brain.

It was this one.

This is before I found out about isekais.

The main villain was Mother Brain from Metroid, who was voiced by Levi Stubbs from The Four Tops, who was basically doing his voice of Audrey 2 from Little Shop of Horrors movie musical.

But that show was called Captain N, The Game Master.
