DU returns with fresh film takes on 2nd-year RBs - Tuten, Jeanty, and Hampton, a discussion on when film can burn your dynasty process, MaxPF myths, and a slate of big Trades & Non-Trades.Join…
psa here just a reminder the nfl is a week-to-week game and dynasty kind of falls into that as well at times even though it probably shouldn't and now there's definitely i think you know aspects players certain veteran players certain rookie players that you do want to play that week-to-week game with in terms of value and moving on from them or you know acquiring and depending depending on you know who they are and what you're trying to do but just thinking about this drake may stuff right like things can change so fast.
Even how we feel about the team, the relationship in the building, all those things, right? A win against the Bills, you get all these videos from the locker room, from Vrabel hanging out, waiting for all the players, talking to Drake, talking to Efton Chisholm, and you just see kind of how tight things can be when things are going right.
And so all it takes is a quick shift with these teams that are at least competent right maybe not a cleveland or something like that but you know these competent teams who have some talent who you know have shown some history of success you know you see that happen so fast and so you see the same thing in dynasty with values right drake may's value huge rebound from bottom of the barrel where you were able to acquire him for I think I had a trade the week prior.
Not a huge value gain, right? Definitely Drake May still held value, but those were available to you because this was happening.
So I just think identifying the sustainable play despite lulls is a really important piece of the game.
And, dare I say it could be a skill, maybe I don't know if we can go that far there's probably some luck involved but I just wonder if and it's not for this conversation but it may be a future episode if there's a way that we can kind of.
What does that look like? What does the initial value or initial production on the field look like? And then, you know, you hit a dip a little for whatever reason, like what, what do those things need to look like for you to be capital C concern versus small C concern kind of thing, you know, going forward with that player.
And so just something to think about in the future, because again, nfl can be a week-to-week game and that can definitely uh filter into the dynasty values when it it probably shouldn't all the time so be wary of it but also we got to take advantage of those things when we can any feedback there jake
no the only thing i'll say is that it reminds me uh this this is not feedback even though i always say no and then i talk i realize that i do
everybody does that shit so fucking annoying like i listen to myself back i'm like why
It reminds me of the conversation that we had based off of a listener question.
