The Dodgers Just Took A Huge Step Back... | Daily Dodgers News & Rumors

So yeah, the playoffs have begun.

The Dodgers under some sweltering conditions, 103 degrees on Saturday.

It tied the hottest playoff game ever played at Dodger Stadium.

Dodgers won game one, uh, five to three thanks to a bunch of home runs, a great outing by Tarik Skubal.

But last night they fell to Atlanta three to two.

Blake Snell just looked awful, uh, just not in command at all.

90 pitches, only being able to go three and two third innings, five walks.

So the series is tied one-one and the Dodgers go back to Atlanta now, uh, as the series has literally become a best of three.

Uh, series is tied one-one.

Series resumes on Tuesday in Atlanta.

By the way, Dodgers were O and three in Atlanta this season, losing all games there by one run.

Uh, so it'll be interesting to see how that turns out.

We'll get into that, uh, later.

Coming up in terms of the pitching matchups for game three, look, even look ahead at game four.

Uh, game three, of course, tomorrow over at Truist Park.

But for the Dodgers, this series so far, sure it's only been two games, but it really has been feast or famine, right? The Dodgers have scored all their runs, uh, in this series via the home run, right? They've gotten two bombs from Muncy.

Teoscar hit one.

Uh, Kyle Tucker hit one.

Freddie Freeman hit one last night as well.

But the problem is, uh, yes, all seven runs have come via the home run, but that means they're now O for eight with runners in scoring position and they've left seven men on base, man.

They were O for eight last night, O for nine in the series.

Uh, they just can't get that big hit.

And last night's game really turned, I think, in the fourth inning.

Freddie Freeman had just hit a home run.

Uh, you know, they got Ray Kerr out of there, uh, who was the opener for the Braves.
