I'm going to throw some names out there that have been rumored in connection to the Guardians.

And Matt, if you can give us some insights from what you have seen about these guys.

Sawyer Stroh-Snyder, left-handed outfielder, 6'2", 200 pounds, from Texas Christian University, 21 years old, has pretty much all the first-round college prospects.

Will be a great athlete, projects as a center fielder, but would be similar to LaVey Lett as he's kind of power over contact.

I definitely think there's a lot of moving parts here, specifically with the swing.

There's definitely a lot of power here, but he does not usually find a way to translate that pull side.

I will say, though, I just don't know that I am in the village of trusting college bats who have so many moving parts mechanically that have to all come together within their time in a minor league organization.

I think that is the absolute hardest thing for a pro team and a pro development team to fix.

If we're talking something as simple as... shoring up launch angles or shoring up kind of a bat path issue if that's really what it is then that's that's one thing we've seen Cleveland do that with guys like Engel multiple examples across all the baseball of just fixing a launch point but with Strohsnyder it's it's a lot more mechanical than that it's his back shoulder it's him struggling to get the balls up in the zone I mean you see guys like Cody Bellinger struggle to figure that out for quite a while and it almost derailed his career i do think the the main issue with strohsnyder would come down to come down to that i would be a little bit uh cautious here

good insight you know i was thinking about laviolette the other day because i was like you know if the guardians actually kind of fix him to some degree and get him to the point where he can bring that power to bear on a major league field.

At some point, whoever played the biggest part in that fixing needs to immediately become major league hitting coach.

So yeah, having another project doesn't really seem like what I want to tackle at the moment, but, You know, hey, well, if you're a great athlete.
