The Unmade Green Lantern Comedy Starring Jack Black

but this is a script dated June 20th, 2006.

It's the first draft, one out of two.

The second draft is not leaked.

Uh, but this is a comedy version of Green Lantern that I think a lot of fans, just the moment you hear about this, a comedy Green Lantern with Jack Black, they're just like, "Pff, what a, what a joke." In not a good way, you know? Like, they, they don't wanna see it.

Uh, they don't like their stuff being made fun of.

And then this was voted on.

We asked our $10 Patreon patrons, "Hey, like, what stuff do you want covered? We have a Lantern show coming out in August.

Let's do some unmade Green Lantern stuff." This would be one of them, and this one was one of the top choices [laughs] for us to cover.

And I was like, "Ugh, okay, let's see what this is." And I started reading it, and I was like, "You know what? This is not bad." And this went from like this is not bad to like, you know what? This is funny.

This is pretty good.

Oh, shit, there's a lot of actual Green Lantern stuff in here.

Uh, and I think you felt the same way when you cracked it open too.

Yeah, definitely.

I was kind of just like, 'cause [laughs] you know I like, like, bad movies sometimes, like The Spirit-

[laughs]

... and, like, other stuff like that.

So-

[laughs]

...

I was, I was prepared for, you know, whatever.

So I was just like-

Hmm

... "Cool, let's check this out." And I was like, "Wow, this is actually kind of good." Like, I was [laughs] kind of-

Yeah.
