Don't be a jerk...off?

The Great Commission is what we're talking about.

We'll expand on it, but I guess we're starting in Matthew 28.

Is that right? Yes,

yes.

Here we have the Great Commission is the title that is generally given for it.

It's an okay commission, really.

I think the earlier work was... was better.

But anyway, this is the very end of the gospel of Matthew.

This is where they tie it all off with a neat little bow.

And this happens after the, the crucifixion of Jesus and the resurrection verse 16 of Matthew 28.

Now the 11 disciples went to Galilee to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them.

When they saw him, they worshiped him, but they doubted.

Interesting little tidbit there, because some translations say, but some doubted.

Oh.

And others say, but they doubted.

Okay.

Yeah, maybe we'll do a segment where we talk about that at some point.

Okay.

There are some people who are like, no, they saw the resurrected Jesus.

They can't all have doubted.

They can't all have doubted.

Yes, that wouldn't be right.

But anyway, Jesus came and said to them, all authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.

So we're riffing on Daniel chapter 7.

We've got this enthronement scene, basically.
