George Weigel just wrote an article in Catholic World Report attacking Candace
Owens as an anti-Semite.

Now, let me just begin here by saying, first of all, calling someone as an anti-Semite is the worst thing you can say to someone in this culture, a culture dominated by Jews.

And then he tries to trace this somehow to her defect in her baptism, somehow that she wasn't catechized properly.

Something that we talked about not too long ago with Gideon Lazar, we talked about baptismal promises here.

And it turns out that there were abjurations that the Jew had to say, and one of them had specifically to do with race.

He had to abjure the idea that he had some type of superior racial makeup that made him special in the Catholic Church.

Gideon, to his credit, when we went down the list, he made all of those abjurations.

Those to be baptized... or received in the full communion with the church, must affirm as a matter of divine revelation that God's covenantal promises to the Jewish people have not been abrogated.

What does that mean? Are you saying the covenant? the covenant, that God's covenant has not been abrogated? If he's saying that, he's wrong.

This contradicts this claim that God's covenantal promises to the Jewish people have not been abrogated, contradicts the United States bishops.

The United States bishop removed the claim that the Mosaic Covenant is eternally valid from their catechism after an article by Robert St. Genesis appeared in Culture Wars magazine explaining the heretical nature of that statement.

What is exactly he referring to? The teaching that the Catholic Church is still nourished by the Old Testament and the spiritual patrimony? If you're saying that the Old Testament is the word of God, well, I agree with that.

But then he goes on to say, "...in completely garbled form, that well-collivated olive tree." What is the olive tree he's referring to here is, I believe, this is Christ.
