Trade Deadline Show 2026

The Detroit Tigers started off the week losing two of three to the Baltimore Orioles, a team that was directly ahead of us in the wild card.

And, you know, a series that we definitely could have won and lost.

Offense has, you know, the offense is solid.

You know, they've, you know, helped pretty, for the most part, held up to their end of the bargain.

They lost the first game eight to five.

So they did put up eight, five runs themselves.

But, you know, the pitching didn't hold up.

We gave up a couple home runs.

I think Colby Mayo hit a home run.

This was a rare rough outing from Kyder Montero.

I jokingly said that we gave him too much praise the Sunday before.

And yeah, he gave a couple home runs.

Let's see here.

Kobe Mayo, Lioti Tavares, and Tyler O'Neal.

Kyter gave up six runs in four and a third, so not a strong effort from him.

Oh, man, yeah, that was the game where the squirrel was running around.

You know, because we were all thinking, you know, in our heads, we're thinking we need a strong week this week to, you know, solidify any chance that we might try to buy or hold on to Scoble.

So for us to come out against Baltimore, a team that's,

eh,

mid, not great, kind of in middle territory of what direction they're going to go in.

For us to come out and give up eight runs to them at home after losing to Kansas City, which was also a disaster, it didn't look good.

But in typical fashion, we bounce back the next day, score 14 runs.

And then, yeah, the conclusion get off to a big lead on a day game, the final Tarek Scooble.

It was the possible Tarek Scooble last game, you know, last game in Detroit.

And, you know, he, he got to get a little, you know, a final, you know, a final look at what being a tiger can be.
